Wilcox says: I remember after leaving the place where it was done I had to overtake some people on the path. I knew they would see it, so that was a big moment, then after that I relaxed a little. I went into a pub once and ordered a drink. It felt like the music and pool balls came to a stop for a second or so. Then started up again. [via.]

mumblelard: sonic screwdriver I start a new gig on Monday, and I am gathering up all of the necessary tools and supplies. Besides being able to fix nearly anything, this little beauty writes in ultraviolet ink, lights up, and makes a cool sonic screwdriver sound. The prop sonic screwdrivers used in the Doctor Who episodes aired since 2006 were actually based on the molds used for this replica, so the props are in fact replicas of a replica. I will keep it stashed in my bag until the coast is clear, but it will be good to have around in case of emergencies.
